12. Night Flowers - BERT SCHOEREN
This artwork demonstrates how technology can perfectly support nature in revealing how beautiful and spectacular natural light can feel. These night flowers are a poetic light spectacle in themselves; in all their simplicity and technological festivity, they turn the Almere Oeverpromenade upside down. If only the night were ever so beautiful, with LED light creating flowers in the heart of Almere's urban nature, a fusion of biological and technological magic.

ABOUT ARTIST BERT SCHOEREN
Light artist Bert Schoeren creates kinetic artworks and technological experiments. His work has been exhibited at the Nieuwe Instituut (2022), the Groninger Museum (2021), Museum Valkhof (2018), and Rijksmuseum Twenthe (2017). In his work, the artist strives for new forms to create meditative moments using unpredictable movements and elements. Combining technology with nature, the elements, is a recurring artistic principle and source of inspiration.
