Throughout the centuries, trees have embodied a slower, deeper rhythm of life. In Chromatic Echoes, artist Frouke ten Velden explores our human connection with trees (in which you can experience how we are part of a larger whole). In numerous cultures, the connection with trees has been central for centuries as a bond between humans and nature, to be honored. This artwork invites you to embrace a tree and experience its slow rhythm for yourself. With Chromatic Echoes, the artist shows how we, as humans, can visually experience our connection with each other through interaction with nature, now interactively translated into an artwork with LEDs and colored light.
